Workplace Health Promotion is one of the key focus areas of the Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS). ARPHS provides public health services to the diverse populations of the three District Health Boards of the Auckland region
ARPHS aims to improve health and wellbeing among Auckland's diverse population through promotion, protection and prevention. It is funded by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The Workplace Health and Wellbeing team at Auckland Regional Public Health Service gives technical advice and guidance. The team can support workplaces with best practice advice, tools, free programmes (such as the Heartbeat Challenge) and links to other useful organisations to help improve staff wellbeing.
Workplace wellbeing programmes can improve the overall health of workers and also have a positive influence on productivity, staff morale, absenteeism and presenteeism.
